Obituary of Jean Czermak

Jean Watts Czermak, age 84, of Vilas, NC passed away on Saturday May 13, 2023 Jean was born June 12, 1938 in Morganton, NC. She was a registered nurse and worked for many years at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA where she met her husband, Dr. Charles Czermak. They were married in June of 1973. Next month they would have been married 50 years, they lived for several years in Austin, Texas before moving to Boone, NC. They loved to travel and saw much of the world. She was one of five children, Ralph Watts, Sue Watts Wilmoth (Wade), Christine Watts Beane (Ron), and Brenda Conway (Tom). Prior to her illness she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boone, She enjoyed working with "Meals on Wheels" for many years and she was a member of the Watauga County Library Board from 2004-2010. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at a future date, to be announced. Austin & Barnes Funeral Home and Crematory will assist the Czermak's Family.
