Carole and I met Jean and Charlie while we were at Emory during medical school. She was a gracious person and we miss her.

Charlie and Jean were neighbors and best friends for many years to my husband Donald long before we met. Our friendship continued and I will always remember Jean for inviting us over for wonderful meals - what a great cook she was! She and Charlie always cooked for and watched out for Donald when I was away. Jean was always so kind, gentle and caring. She is missed.

We were First Baptist church friends and she and Charlie were our gourmet club friends.
She was always so bright and uplifting. Charlie, may God give you enough of whatever you need as you process your grief.

Like a bird singing in the rain, Jean's memory will survive in time of sorrow. She was a bright light.
Charlie, we want to convey our sincere condolences to you and the family during this difficult time.

My memories of my Aunt Jean are beauty and class. I remember visiting her in Atlanta years ago, tripped going into her apartment and did a full face-plant, and Jean rushing me to the local ER. But then years later, a much better visit to Atlanta when Jean helped me and my Mom find my first apartment. And then making sure I knew how to get to Lenox Mall and Wieuca Road Church! I’ll cherish all the family gatherings at my grandparents’ house and the Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. Love you Jean - you will be missed.

The memory I have of my aunt Jean is a mother figure just as my mom. Aunt Jean was the nicest, loving, sensitive, caring, understanding and by far the most patient person I know I love her and I will miss her forever but the one thing death can’t take away are my memories.♥️ I love you, Jean♥️
