JB was a great man and friend. I will never forget the good times when I worked for him. Tough times but Frankie and Scott just always remember the good days and years with a smile.

It was sad to hear that J B had moved on.
About 42 years ago I was in College at App. I would meet JB and my friend Raeford Russell for lunch just to hear the stories that JB would tell.
After JB returned home from a trip to Texas I asked him what he thought about the Lone Star State.
“Texans are a bunch of liars” he replied. “ “How is that ? “ I asked
“There isn’t a tree in the whole state taller than 5 feet. “ he asserted “Where did they hang all those cattle rustlers from?”
JB looked me square in the eye and concluded.
“ You would have to dig a hole, to hang a man in Texas”
JB was a tough old rascal and a great storyteller. We will miss him.

I am sad to hear of J.B.'s passing. My brothers and I, being Perkinsville boys, always knew him as one of the older and bigger Perkinsville Boys. Being neighbors, we looked up to them.
May God Bless and be with the Family during this difficult time

I was so sorry to read of the passing of JB. My dad, Claud Austin, was a friend of his and I remember going to his and Miss Frankie's house many times when I was small. He let me ride the horses, and a few times he let me ride in children's competitions. I still have several pictures of me on his horse and him leading me around the show ring. He was always so kind to me and I know Dad valued JB's friendship a great deal. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

JB was one of the kindest people we knew and a wonderful neighbor.
Our favorite memory of JB was when he came and fixed our furnace when it cut off during the coldest night in the winter. James and Karen Coffey

I met JB 40+ years ago when I was working at Circle S Ranch, he loved horses as much as I do. So many wonderful memories of horses and horse shows. I love going back to Boone to visit JB and Frankie (my adopted dad & mom), my second home. I will truly miss you JB.
Frankie and Scott you are in my thoughts and prayers.

JB was the best man I have ever had the privilege to meet and then becoming a part of his amazing family they never made me feel out of place and always welcome. I worked with this man for nearly 15 years and if it was not for him and the knowledge that he past on to me I would not be where I am today . He not only taught me the heating and ac trait but he also taught me life’s most valuable lessons . I love you JB and will always remember you my life would not have existed if it were not your determination and drive that you gave me . Till we see each other again tell Sue and Babe the kid says hello.
