Obituary of Jerrie Sue Berry

Mrs. Jerrie Sue Berry, age 59, of Jake Miller Road, Boone, passed away Saturday morning, January 14, 2023 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born June 22, 1963 in Watauga County. Jerrie was a self-employed housekeeper and worker with several real estate companies in Blowing Rock. As a loving wife, mother, sister and Nana, family was the focus of her life. She was an aspiring artist and enjoyed applying her talents with water colors and oil paint. Jerrie is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Paul Dampman; son, Elias Dampman and daughter, Andreya Dampman, both of Boone; grandchildren, Aurora and Rose Dampman and Ember Merker; sister, Linda Debs and husband Paul, of Boone, Debbie Yount Teresa Lunceford and husband, Johnny and Karen and husband Jerry Hamby and Patricia Yount, and brother, George and wife Leslie Yount, all of Lenoir. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Berry Fox. Celebration of Life service for Jerrie will be held at a later date. The family respectfully requests no food or flowers and suggests memorials to a charity of the donors' choice.
