Obituary of Della Jeanette Critcher

Our devoted and Godly Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt, Della Shull Critcher passed peacefully to her heavenly home, November 5, 2022 at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family and a very special nurse Larry Stout. Della, a native of Boone was born on December 20, 1935 to Robert and Lena Shull.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Husband of 65 years, Ralph "Jim" Critcher who passed May 23, 2016 and Granddaughter Stacey Lynn Critcher, who passed December 4, 2021; Siblings, Rufus, Brian, Ruby, Mary Lee and Nancy.
Della leaves behind two Sons, James "Jimmy" and Wife LeeAnn, Charles "Rick" and Wife Phyllis. Six Grandchildren, Stephanie and Matt, Michael, Richard Lee and Taylor, David, Allison and Lindsey. Seven Great Grandchildren, Trey, Piper, Hunter, Levi, Ty, Hadley and Harper. Also many Nieces and Nephews, friends also, very special friends of the family, Steve Montaldi, Anita, Charles and Pat Cook, Ned and Wanda Bentley and Crystal Turbyfil.
She had many gifts, the greatest being her servant's heart. Serving others in many ways, preparing meals, sending cards to her Church family at Profitt's Grove Baptist Church and neighbors. Della worked many years as a secretary at TRW, Parks and Recreation, Tweetsie and WMC imaging center, also volunteering at Seby Jones Cancer Center, making many lifelong friends along the way. Della is in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she is a child of the King. She gave her testimony to anyone that would give her a minute of their time. Della was a devoted mother to her family and loved spending time with them, giving advice when needed. We know and look forward to the glorious day we will meet in Heaven.
Services for Della will be officiated by Pastor Delmar Jones and held 12pm at the Austin and Barnes chapel on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 with visitation from 11am-12pm. In lieu of food memorial donations may be made to the Proffitt's Grove Baptist Church Mission Fund.
