Mr. Stephen Lyle Farthing, age 45, of Banner Elk, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 a Johnson City Medical Center. Born January 1, 1973 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Richard and Jeanette Watson Farthing. Stephen worked as a painter.
He is survived by one brother, Rodney Farthing and wife Julie of Banner Elk, his fianc� Cindy Price of Zionville, his nieces and nephews, Rachel, Jessie Brandon and Kaity, and a number of Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Family and close friends will gather for a memorial service on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2 oclock at High County United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain States Foundation, 2335 Knob Creek Road, Suite 101, Johnson City, TN 37604 or to the Watauga Humane Society, PO Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607. The family respectfully requests no food.
