Bertha Loretta Coffey Phillips, age 82, of Lexington and a former resident of Blowing Rock passed away Tuesday evening, July 9, 2013 in Lexington. Born December 24, 1930 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late William Glenn and Annie R. Coffey. Loretta was a member of the Lexington Church of Christ and a homemaker.
She is survived by four children; Virginia Loretta Sherman and husband Roy of Linwood, Nona Mullis and husband Bobby of Stewart, Virginia, Lennie Phillips and wife Linda of Lexington and Dorothy Humphrey and husband Bobby of Lexington, three sisters; Shirley Willard and Linda Sipe of Taylorsville and Lorene Tedder of Statesville, nine grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bertha Loretta Coffey Phillips will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Minister Brock Shanks. Burial will follow in the Boone Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 until 11 o�clock prior to the service.
