Obituary of Larry D. Caudill

Larry Dallas Caudill, age 70 of Purlear, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at New Hope Baptist Church in Purlear with Rev. Mike Stamper and Rev. Grant Caudill officiating. Burial with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 prior to the service in the New Hope Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. He was born January 1st, 1947 in Alexandria, VA. His parents are Joe Todd and Inez Triplett Caudill. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Larry felt that his greatest accomplishments were his three Godly sons. He was a licensed Minister, Ordained Deacon, and three time Missionary to Brazil. He was proud to serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was also married to the love of his life for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his mother and an infant granddaughter; Tyler Cate Caudill. Mr. Caudill is survived by his wife; Brenda Caudill of the home, three sons; Rev. Grant Caudill and wife Shannon of Bristol, VA, Brad Caudill and wife Stephanie of Wilkesboro and Shane Caudill and wife Allison of Deep Gap, four grandchildren; Kailee Caudill McKinney, Makenzie Caudill, Chase Caudill and Abi Caudill, his father; Joe Todd Caudill of Charlotte, one brother; Steve Caudill and wife Cindy of Rock Hill, SC, two aunts; Iva Peak of Mint Hill, NC and Veva McClane of Ferguson and his mother in law; Ona Dea Yates of Purlear.
