Dr. Fred Allen Wilson, age 81, of Canterbury Lane, Boone, passed away Monday evening, June 12, 2017 at The Foley Center at Chestnut Ridge in Blowing Rock. Born February 3, 1936 in Mississippi, he was a son of George and Lillian Wilson. Dr. Wilson retired as a Psychology Professor from Appalachian State University.
He is survived by his wife, Helga Wittfohn Wilson; daughters, Monica Wilson of Asheville; sons, Phil Wilson and family of Boone and Scott Wilson of Asheville; and sisters, Barbara Wallace of Arkansas and Louise Brenner of Missouri.
Services for Dr. Fred Allen Wilson will be private.
