Obituary of Jack P. Hayes

Mr. Jack Perry Hayes, age 84, of Jack Hayes Road, Boone, passed away Tuesday night May 16, 2017 at the Foley Center. Born June 18, 1932 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Thomas B. and Blanche Williams Hayes. Jack was retired from the Department of Transportation where he worked as a motor grader operator. He was also a cattle farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Glada Vines Hayes, two sons, Richard Hayes and Jimmy Hayes and wife Donna all of Boone, two grandsons, Lucas Hayes and fianc� Shleby and Todd Hayes, all of Boone, and one sister, Grace Greene of Boone, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Dale Hayes, and two brothers, Lee and John Hayes.
Graveside services for Mr. Jack Hayes will be conducted Friday morning at the Jont Brown Cemetery at 11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Derick Wilson and Rev. Gary Shew. At other times friends may call at the residence.
