Obituary of Dayton A. Isaacs

Dayton Alvin Isaacs, age 89, ,of Tater Hill Road, Zionville, passed away Monday evening, April 17, 2017 at Watauga Medical Center. Born April 23, 1927 in Watauga County, he was a son of William and Vertie Green Isaacs. Dayton was of the Methodist faith. He served in the US Army during WWII and retired as a supervisor from Electric Storage Battery in Logansport, Indiana. As a young man he was nicknamed Speedy because of his love of drag racing. Dayton enjoyed flying radio controlled air planes and could often be seen fishing area streams and ponds.
Mr. Isaacs is survived by his daughter, Patricia Isaacs Miller and husband, Jerry, of Delphi, Indiana; and two sons: Kenneth Isaacs and wife Kathleen of Mansfield, Texas and Gary Isaacs of Zionville. Six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Isaacs and eleven brothers and sisters.
Services for Dayton Isaacs will be private.
