Obituary of William A. Bake

Mr. William A. Bill Bake, Jr., age 77, of Boone, passed away Sunday morning, October 9, 2016 at Watauga Medical Center. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was a son of the late William Albert Bake, Sr., and Virginia Woodworth Bake. Bill was a professional photographer, an avid environmentalist and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Bake, one daughter, Lorena Harris and husband Rob of Atlanta, one son, William A. Bake, III, wife Leslie and one grandson, William A. Bake, IV of Pittsburgh, one brother, Robert Bake, wife Margaret and one niece, Carrie Bake-Wong of Plymouth, Michigan. Private services for Bill will be held at a later date.
