Obituary of Linda McClure Tester

Linda McClure Tester, age 71, of Greer Lane, Vilas, passed away Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016 at her home. Born September 26, 1944 in Marion, Virginia, she was a daughter of Harley and Stella Sutherland McClure. Linda was a member of West View Baptist Church and retired from Watauga Medical Center. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Zane Tester; daughter, Kelly Proffit and husband, Eric, and two granddaughters, Gracie and Lily Proffit, all of Todd; sister, Karen Church and husband, Hayden, of Millers Creek; niece, Kimberly Church of Charlotte; and nephews, Wesley Church of Millers Creek and Norman McNeil of Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Jo Graham and Lou Ann McNeil. Funeral services for Linda McClure Tester will be conducted Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2016 at 3 o�clock, at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Chapel, officiated by Rev. Zane Tester and Rev. Frank Johnson. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1 until 3 o�clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Graveside services, officiated by Rev. Eric Proffit, will follow at the West View Baptist Church Cemetery.
