Obituary of Eunice T. Luttrell

Eunice Tester Luttrell, age 69, of Collins Store Road, Blowing Rock, passed away Saturday morning, May 28, 2016 at her home. Born December 7, 1946 in Avery County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Basil and Doris Baird Tester. She was an active member of Sandy Flat Baptist Church. Eunice retired as a seamstress for 30 years from Hartley Interiors in Blowing Rock. The greatest testimony of her life was serving her Lord until her final days, and one of her final wishes was for a successful Youth Vacation Bible School program at Sandy Flat Baptist Church. Mrs. Luttrell is survived by four sons, William Kent Luttrell of Virginia Beach, VA, Glenn David Luttrell of Warrensville, Timothy Wayne Luttrell and fianc�, Lisa Hoots, of Yadkinville, and Bobby Dale Luttrell and wife, Melissa, of Lewisville; two sisters, Pauline Berry and husband, George, of Brooksville, Florida, and Barbara Smith and husband, Ed, of Valle Crucis; two brothers, Keith Tester and wife, Danielle, of Blowing Rock and Larry Tester and wife, Janice, of Taylorsville; nine grandchildren, Amanda Shores and husband, James, Cody, Jalen, Peyton, Isaiah, and Felicity Luttrell, Wesley Doerfer and Olivia and Abby Luttrell; and four great-grandchildren, Grace, Emma and Chloe Shores and Jayden Luttrell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Luttrell and one brother, Ray Tester. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, June 1, at 3 o�clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Burl Jones, Rev. Max West and Rev. Jackson Lawley. Burial will follow in the Boone Fork Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sandy Flat Baptist Church Mission Project, PO Box 1113, Blowing Rock, NC 28605. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 o�clock until 8 o�clock at Austin & Barnes. At other times friends may call at the Luttrell residence.
