Obituary of Mary C. Haile

Mrs. Mary Frances Cook Carlton Haile, age 84, of Mountain City, and formerly of Boone, passed away Monday morning, May 9, 2016. Born January 21, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Nellie Benson Cook. Mary was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. She retired from ASU as the manager of the telephone office. She is survived by one son, Andrew Carlton and wife Secellia, of Old Fort, one brother, Ted Cook of Boone, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and her special friend and caregiver, Pamela Carlton of Mountain City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William G. Haile, one son, Ray Carlton, one sister, Betty Cook Crawford, and one brother, Jack Cook. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Cook Carlton Haile will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, May 11th at 2 o�clock at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Bud Russell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon prior to the service from 1 until 2 o�clock at the church. Flowers are accepted or memorial may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church Building Fund, 3505 Bamboo Road, Boone, NC 28607.
