Ann Nunley Trivett, age 80, of Beech Mountain Road, Elk Park, passed away Sunday evening, March 6, 2016 at her home. At the time of her death, she was calling out the name of Jesus as he took her home. Born November 21, 1935 in Holston, Va., she was a daughter of Richard and Bertie Nunley Harmon. Mrs. Trivett was a member of Beech Mountain Baptist Church. Her home was always filled with family that she adored. Ann was always ready to prepare a delicious meal from her vegetable garden for anyone stopping by for a visit.
Mrs. Trivett is survived by her son, Jimmy Trivette of Elk Park; five grandchildren, Nathan Trivette, Jake Trivette, Matthew Trivette, Luke Trivette and Sommer Trivette, and two great-grandchildren, Candace Trivette and Tatum Cook, all of Elk Park; and two sisters, Nola Trivett of Chattanooga, TN and Mary Jane Hart of Jonesborough, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Allen Trivett, two sons, Matthew and Lincoln Trivette; four brothers, James, Jerry, Bill and Jack Nunley; and two sisters, Shirley Baird and Gladys Humphreys.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday evening, March 10, 2016, at 6 oclock at the Beech Mountain Community Center, officiated by Rev. Robert Taylor. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 6 oclock at the community center.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday morning, March 11th, at 11 oclock at the McGuire Cemetery.
