Obituary of Lucille C. Elliott

Mrs. Virginia Lucille Lindy Culler Elliott, age 90, of Willowdale Church Road, Vilas, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2016 at Watauga Medical Center. Born June 11, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Vance and Beatrice Culler. Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and a longtime member of Willowdale Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Gwen Lowrance of Banner Elk, Bill Elliott and wife Gail of Mountain City, TN, Bob Elliott and fianc� Trudy Thompson of the home, Betty Warren and husband Mark of Vilas, Becky McKinney and husband Lee of Oak Ridge, NC, Loyce Warren and husband Greg of Boone, and Joyce Creed and friend Bobby Crumpler of Vilas, seven grandchildren, Wayne Miller and wife Missy of Banner Elk, Anna Murray and husband Ryan of Wilmington, Justin Warren and wife Amy of Vilas, Kelli Sherwood and husband Jonathan of Vilas, Brandon McKinney of South Bend, Indiana, Katelyn Isaacs and husband David of Vilas, and Corey McKinney of Charleston, SC, eight great grandchildren Heather Breese and husband Adam of Clemmons, MacKenzie Miller of Banner Elk, Morgan and Mason Murray of Wilmington, Adelyn Warren of Vilas, Lindi & Raylin Sherwood of Vilas, and Summer Isaacs of Vilas, a number of nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends, Tam and Bernice McGuire of Sugar Grove. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Don Elliott, two sisters, Mildred McNeil and Juanita Hayes, and her stepmother, Frances Culler. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Lucille Lindy Culler Elliott will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 oclock at Willowdale Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Delmar James, Rev. Kenneth Bryant and Rev. Eugene Braswell. Burial will follow in the Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 oclock until 8 oclock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
