Obituary of Robert Shaver

Mr. Robert Dale Shaver, 77, of Independence, Virginia passed away Friday at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Moretz Shaver, one son, Sam Shaver and wife Trish of Independence, three grandchildren, four sisters in law, Helen and Irene Shaver of Independence, Gladys Shaver of Marion, VA, and Pauline Moretz and husband Howard of Lexington, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Dale Shaver will be conducted Monday morning at 11 am at the Gold Hill Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Bridle Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gold Hill Baptist Church, in care of Barbara Halsey, 1748 Gold Hill Road, Independence, VA 24348. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 oclock until 8 oclock at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence, VA.
