Mr. Fred William Johnson, age 89, of Meat Camp Road, Todd, passed away Sunday November 1, 2015 at Watauga Medical Center. Born August 23, 1926 in Ashe County, he was a son of the late James Mack and Martha Greer Johnson. Fred was a farmer and a member of Elk Knob Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Elithe Ellison Johnson, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Mack and Martha Greer Johnson and four sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Fred William Johnson will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. J. C. Greene. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 o�clock until 11 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. At other times friends may call at the residence of Alan & Yvonne Shelton, 173 Main Haven Drive, Vilas, NC 28692. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Elk Knob Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of Patsy Eller, 271 South Road, Todd, NC 28684.
