Rev. Marion Milton Swann, age 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 5, 2015. He was born July 19, 1939, in Mitchell County to the late Norman Lee Swann and Bessie Knight Swann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Norman Willis Swann; sister, Amanda Ruth Phelps. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Helen Osteen Swann; daughters, Dosha Swann (Jim) Teachey, Ramelle Martha Swann; grandchildren, Lydia Lynn Teachey, Granger Lee Teachey; sisters, Bettiw Lou Gunter, Julia Sweann Pittman; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services for Rev. Marion Milton Swann will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Boonville United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jenny Stewart, Rev. Mark Barden, and Rev. David Rorie.
The family will receive friends after the service on Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of Boonville United Methodist Church. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Spruce Pine City Cemetery in Mitchell County.

The family would like to thank friends, family, and caregivers for all the love and support received during illness.
