Jason Carl Buckner, age 31, of Thompson Hollow Road, Vilas, passed away Sunday morning, October 4, 2015 at his home. Jason was born January 14, 1984 in Watauga County to Raymond Buckner and the late Cleta Coffey Buckner. He attended Willowdale Baptist Church. Jasons life and love was involved around his wife, Nichole and his daughter, Carlie. He loved spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, and sharing special times with Carlie and family.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Carlie Madison Buckner of the home; father, Raymond Buckner of Blowing Rock; sister, Kimberly Greene and husband, Mark, of Vilas; two brothers, Doug Buckner and wife, Betty, of Zionville and Lloyd Buckner and wife, Patricia, of Blowing Rock; mother-in-law, Regina Triplett and husband, Jonathan, of Zionville; father-in-law, Danny Presnell and wife, Lola, of Boone; seven nieces, Crystal Harmon of Zionville, Amanda Matherly of Elizabethton, TN, Sabrina Buckner of Winston-Salem, Gemma Greene of Vilas, Elizabeth and Rebecca Buckner of Blowing Rock, and Kimberly Trivette of Vilas; and five nephews, Gage and Gavin Greene and Joey Trivette, all of Vilas, and Wesley and Ethan Harmon of Zionville; and his special family, Jenny Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Brenda Kailin, Carolyn Pasley, Bonnie Faulkner, Trudy Thompson, Maude Thompson, Rusty and Becky Trivette and Bob and Patti Perry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nichole Presnell Buckner; his mother, Cleta Coffey Buckner, grandparents, Floyd and Nellie Coffey and Lloyd and Ella Buckner; uncle, Earl Buckner; and aunts, Esther Buckner, Grace Coffey and Neal Boucher.
Memorial services for Jason Carl Buckner will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, October 7, 2015, at 2 oclock, at Willowdale Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Eugene Braswell. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 until 2 oclock, prior to services, at Willowdale Baptist Church. Graveside services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Austin & Barnes Funeral Home to assist Jasons family with expenses.
