Mrs. Joyce Hagaman Warren, age 70, of Forest Grove Road, Vilas, went to be with her Lord Friday evening, July 18, 2008 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born July 6, 1938 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Anna Lee Isaacs Hagaman. Joyce was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and was a retired teachers aid, having worked at Bethel Elementary School for thirty years.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Warren, three sons; Mike Warren and wife Pat, Mark Warren and wife Betty, and John Warren and wife Debbie, all of Vilas, one daughter, Grace Pitts and husband Nathan of Vilas, four grandchildren, David Warren and wife Miranda, Colby and Carson Warren and Kohen Pitts, and one sister, Sue Hagaman of Boone, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Hagaman Reese.
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Hagaman Warren will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Forest Grove Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 o'clock. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Warren, Rev. J. C. Greene and Rev. Carl Wilson. Burial will follow in the Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Mission Fund, in care of Paul Wilson, 2424 Bethel Road, Sugar Grove, NC 28679.
