Obituary of Kathleen White Cole

Kathleen White Cole, 85, of Baird�s Creek Road, Vilas, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015, at her home. Born July 13, 1930 in Watauga County, Kathleen was a daughter of Ernest and Beulah Teaster White. She was a longtime member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. Kathleen spent her life loving and caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many friends, and every animal that ever came to her door. Mrs. Cole is survived by her children, Mike Cole and wife Elizabeth, of Boone, Bobby Cole and friend, Lillian, of Vilas, Jerry White and wife, Donna, of Taylorsville, and Roberta �Jeannie� Davis of Valle Crucis; five grandchildren, Marlin, Kevin, Scott, Kelly and James; six great-grandchildren, Zack, Lindsey, Cole, Andrew, Tanner and Hailey; brother, Willie White of Winston-Salem; special friend, Ivalean Stewart; and her caregiver and friend, Nona Noblett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cole; brother, A.E. White; and three sisters, Betty Maltba, Peggy White, and Barbara Hatten. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 9th, at 2 PM, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Wynn Greer and Rev. Melvin Hodges. Graveside services will follow in the White Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 7:30 PM at Austin & Barnes.
