Mr. Colin Brown Batchelor, Jr., Jim was born in Toronto, Canada to Colin B. Batchelor, Sr. and Jemima Dawson and grew up in Keego Harbor, near Pontiac, Michigan.
Jim was a District Manager of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, for 80 years he played softball across the country and in Europe after World War II. He was in the Third Armored Infantry and fought under General Patton and in all the major battles from D-Day to Berlin.
Surviving are his sons: Dr. Brad Batchelor and Dr. Dan Batchelor; daughter-in-law, Marina Batchelor, granddaughter Asha Batchelor; sisters: Jean Golding, Mary Winters and Betty Howell.
Services will be August 29, 2015 in Michigan.
