Mrs. Lucille Shore Hollar Reece, age 89, of Banner Elk, the Valle Crucis community, passed away Wednesday evening, June 17, 2015. She retired as a cook at Camp Broadstone, Valle Crucis. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ellard Hollar and George Reece. She is survived by three sons; Tom and Joe Hollar both of Valle Crucis and Charlie Shore of Carthage. A sister, Betty Cook and husband Stewart of Boone. Grandchildren, Joey and Amanda Hollar, Michael Shore and wife Erin, and Annette Hancock and husband David. Great-grandchildren, Walker Shore and Laura Handcock. Also surviving is a special friend, Flo Retta Rich.
Funeral services for Lucille Shore Hollar Reece will be conducted Saturday, June 20 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Shull Cemetery, Valle Crucis. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service hour at 10 a.m.
