Obituary of Trent M. Reece

Mr. Trenence Trent Michael Reece, 39, died May 10, 2015 from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Greenville, SC, where he was a resident. Trent was born in Boone, NC on December 3, 1975 to Bill and Kathy Reece. He graduated from Furman University in 1998 with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He was a member of the fraternal organization of Freemasonry where he became an avid sportsman and hiker. He recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of hiking from the freeman trail in Georgia to the Katahdin Mountain in Maine. He shared his love of sports with member of his local billiards and dart leagues where he often competed and was known as a skilled and intuitive champion. Trent is survived by his parents, Bill and Kathy Reece of Boone, his brother, Traethen Trae Reece of Boone, his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Carolyn Porch of Boone and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his former wife, Kristina Gaither who shared the love of their three cats, Monkey, Peanut Butter and Jelly. He will be missed by his many caring friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy Joe and Barbara Joyce Reece. A memorial service for Mr. Trent Reece will be conducted Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2015 at 3 oclock at the Foscoe Christian Church, at 141 Leigh Lane, Boone, NC, where he was a member.
