Obituary of Kathryn G. Greene

Mrs. Kathryn Goodman Greene, age 86, of Pine Swamp Road, Fleetwood, passed away Wednesday night, February 4, 2015 at Watauga Medical Center. Born August 16, 1928 in Ashe County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Eunice Blackburn Goodman. Kathryn was a member of Old Fields Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother who worked alongside her husband and son on the farm. She is survived by her son, Chris Greene, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cline Greene and her parents, Rufus and Eunice Blackburn Goodman. Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Goodman Greene will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 oclock at the Old Fields Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Powers and Rev. Jack Miller. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 oclock at Old Fields Baptist Church.
