Mr. William Zain Parlier, Jr. age 61, of Howard Winkler Road, Boone, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015.
Mr. Parlier was a native of Baltimore, Maryland and the son of the late William Zain
Parlier, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cochran Parlier. He was a retired automotive mechanic and enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing. An avid sharks teeth collector he donated many of his specimens to the Smithsonian Institute.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Ashley Marie Causby and a brother, Ernest M. Parlier.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Schell Parlier; one daughter, Shannon Rae and husband Rick Mathes of Newland; one son, William Zain Parlier, III. and wife Jennifer of Millers Creek; a sister, Kimberly Parlier Gray of Boone; a brother, John Parlier of Baltimore, Md. Two grandchildren, Bryan Keith Causby, Jr. and Mary Alyson Parlier. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Mr. William Zain Parlier, Jr. will be conducted Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the Rutherwood Baptist Church, Boone, with Dr. Gary Lawrence officiating.
