August 12, 2007 Mrs. Lorraine Litton Church, age 80, of Knoxville and a resident of Land Harbors, Linville, NC died Saturday afternoon August 11, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center. Born September 5, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Mamie Temple Litton. Mrs. Church was a homemaker and a member of the Boone Church of Christ. Surviving are: one son, David Church and wife Janice of Buford, GA, two grandsons; Christopher Church and wife Ana of Nashville, TN and Andrew Church and wife Meredith of Brentwood, TN, two great grandchildren, D. J. and Aly Church of Nashville, TN and one brother, Roy Litton of Detroit, Michigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph A. Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Lorraine Litton Church will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Randy Covalt. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ralph and Lorraine Church Endowed Scholarship Fund in care of Rochester College, 800 W. Avon Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307. The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from noon until 1 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
