Mr. George Howard Georgie Elliott II, age 29, a resident of 5108 Sidney Road, Belhaven, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014 at St. Clairs Church of Christ, Hwy 99 South, Bath, conducted by Craig Hagen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers, Travis Bright, Derek Woolard, Todd Jarman, Ryan Mason, TJ Tetterton and Richard Hurst. Georgie was born in Beaufort County on October 10, 1985. He was the son of George Howard Elliott, Sr. and Paula Sweitzer Elliott. Georgie was a 2004 graduate of Northside High School and was member of St. Clairs Church of Christ. He was a jack of many trades. He worked on the family farm daily helping to restore Allis-Chalmers tractors, dig ditches, make repairs, raise cattle and most of all recently helping his father restore a 1974 Pontiac LeMans. George loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing or being on the water. He raised his dog, Diablo, from a puppy and was rarely seen without him. Georgie is survived by his parents, George and Paula Elliott of Belhaven; three sisters, Patsy Brown and husband, Daniel of Clemmons, N.C.; Christine Youker and husband, James and their children, Ava and Maddox of Wendell, N.C., Brenda Kozik and husband, Chris and their children, Lillian and Casey of Youngsville, N.C.; paternal grandparents, Myron and Elizabeth Elliott of Belhaven; maternal grandfather, John Sweitzer of Boone; aunts and uncles, John and Rhonda Sweitzer of Godwin, N.C., Walter and Evelyn Hurst of New Bern, N.C., Anne Sweitzer of Durham, N.C., Beth Woolard of Washington and numerous cousins. Georgie was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Patsy Ruth Hensley Sweitzer and his step-maternal grandmother, Lillian Sweitzer. The family will receive friends after the service in the Family Life Center at the church and other times at the home of his parents, George and Paula Elliott, 2804 Woodstock Road, Belhaven.
