Obituary of Sandra R. Cooper

Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Rominger Cooper, age 75 of Banner Elk, and formerly of Winston Salem, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was a member of Arbor Dale Presbyterian Church where she was very active in the choir and mission work. Sandy was a 1957 graduate of Cranberry High and a member of the Championship Square Dancing Team.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Delia Smith Rominger, and a granddaughter, Abigail Cooper.
She is survived by her husband, Francis Edwin "Ed" Cooper, one son, Michael Cooper and wife Beth of Chesapeake, Va., one daughter, Lisa Cockman and husband Jim of Winston Salem, three brothers, Randy Rominger and wife Barbara of Ohio, Sherrill Rominger and wife Nancy of Banner Elk, and Dana Rominger and wife Sally of Banner Elk. Four grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Rominger Cooper will be conducted Thursday, 11 a.m. in the Matney-Liberty Community Cemetery with the Rev. Tee Gatewood officiating.
