Obituary of Pearlee Potter

Pearlee Potter, 76, of Meat Camp Road, Todd, passed away Sunday morning, September 7th, 2014, at her home. Born February 26, 1938 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of Ted Roosevelt and Ann Mains Potter. Pearlee was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church at Rock Creek. After working for many years at Hanes Manufacturing in West Jefferson and Blue Ridge Shoe Company in Boone, she loved spending her days growing and canning her annual vegetable gardens and tending to her many flower gardens.
Miss Potter is survived by two sisters, Emmer Potter and Nell Proffitt, both of Todd; and one brother, Coolidge Potter of Meadowview, Va. A number of nieces and nephews and her constant companion, her dog Chancellor also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Alverdie Reece, Lydia Belle Moretz, and Bonnie Lou Potter; and four brothers, Hoover, Boyd, Ted and Ervin Potter.
Pearlee will be missed by many family members, friends and neighbors.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 2 PM at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kenneth Phipps. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 until 2 o�clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. Burial will follow in the Potter-Main Cemetery.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, PO Box 1835, Boone, NC 28607. Friends may call at the home of her sister, Emmer Potter, 7472 Meat Camp Road in Todd.
