Mr. Billy Dean Watson, age 58, of Wilkesboro and a former resident of Boone, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Westwood Nursing Home in Wilkesboro. Born in Watauga County November 4, 1955, he was a son of the late Billy and Hazel Huffman Watson. Mr. Watson was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was self -employed and was a talented wood worker. In his younger years, he was an avid drag racer. Billy had a sweet smile and a strong faith in God.
He is survived by three brothers, Jeff Watson and Tim Watson and wife Karen all of Lenoir and Mitchell Watson, two sisters, Lisa Watson of Asheville and Rosie Walsh and husband Doug of Bradenton, Florida, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death Tommy Watson.
Memorial services for Mr. Billy Dean Watson will be conducted Saturday afternoon at Tabernacle Baptist Church at 2:30. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Watson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family at any Wells Fargo Bank location.
