Mrs. Beatrice Williams Sherwood, age 79, of George Wilson Road, Boone, died Sunday morning at her home. Mrs. Sherwood is survived by two daughters, Sue Ward and husband Ken of Boone and Judy Elmore and husband Charles of Concord; one granddaughter, Megan Ward of Boone, and two grandsons, Jared Ward and wife Crystal of Boone and David Elmore and wife Michelle of Perkingston, Mississippi; two great-grandchildren, Maritza and Jacob Elmore, both of Perkinston, Mississippi; one brother, Roy williams and wife Jean of Boone, one sister Pauline Dotson of Hendersonville and a number of nieces and nephews - including special nephew, David Williams of Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Newton Sherwood, one sister, Oralee Blair, one brother Clyde Williams and her parents, roy Franklin and Connie Hayes Williams. Funeral Services for Mrs. Sherwood will be conducted Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Advent Christian Church officiated by Rev. Gordon Noble. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Advent Christian Church, C/O Joyce Sherrill at 375 Shady Bark Lane, Boone, NC 28607. The family will receive friends Monday evening, September 17, 2007 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM. At other times the family will be at the Sherwood residence.
