Sandra Presnell Moretz, 64, of Hamptons
Trailer Circle, Boone, passed away Thursday December 29, 2022. Sandra was born June 12, 1958 in Watauga County.
Sandy was a loving and devoted wife to her beloved, late husband Charles. Together they had three beautiful children and three wonderful grandchildren, whom were the loves of her life. Sandy was a loving Mama, Mammy, Nana, Nena, and Nona to not only her own children and grandchildren, but she also took to heart being a mother to all. Sandy devoted her life to taking care of others, never failed to make you smile and left you feeling at home. She never met a stranger and she always took the time to catch up and share a story no matter how busy she was. Sandy never took for granted any of life's precious little things. At a mere 4 ft 10 inches tall Sandy had the biggest heart, a most generous spirit and made the world a brighter, kinder and more beautiful place.
She is survived by son Michael Scott Moretz of Hawaii and wife Sydney; two daughters, Samantha Moretz Banks and husband Marc of Lenoir, Megan Moretz Hudson and husband, Brandon of Boone; granddaughters, Abigail Hudson and Juliet Banks; grandson Michael Hudson; her father Floyd Presnell and wife, Louise of Granite Falls; only sister Kathy Pennell and husband Rick of Fleetwood; brothers David Presnell, Steve Presnell, both of Boone and Chris Presnell of Ohio. Additionally, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Charles Moretz, her mother Barbara Presnell, brothers Billy Presnell, Bobby Presnell and Scottie Presnell.
A celebration of life service for Sandra Presnell Moretz will be held at a later date.
