We have a vacation home in Twin Hollows across the road from the farm - the ambulance sirens alerted us to the tragic accident. Words cannot express how deeply upset we were to see what happened, not knowing who was driving the tractor. I wish we could have been able to do something, but all we could do is pray and grieve along with and for his family. It is evident that the entire community grieves for the loss of Cole — Please know that even the cows displayed a tremendous amount of concern and compassion, as much as I could imagine God’s creatures could show for the tragic loss of the kind young man who fed and cared for them. Your family is constantly in our thoughts and prayers and we are so very sorry for the loss of your precious son. May the Lord bless and comfort you and all who loved him during this difficult time.

I was honored to get to be Cole's first grade teacher at Cove Creek School. I will never forget his cowboy boots and his hat that was bigger than he was. He didn't believe me when I told him I hauled my husband's deer to his grandpas for processing one day on the way to school. He looked at me and said, You are too fancy for that! ha, ha! He was such a fine young man. He had the nicest manners and was a friend to everyone in his class. His love for farming, hunting and his family was very evident in his daily walk. His smile was contagious! Cole made me a better person and I am grateful I got to be his teacher. " To know him is to love him." Much love and many prayers to his family during this time.
