Obituary of Nelson Ragan Price

Nelson Ragan Price, age 59, of Taterhill Road, Zionville, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Alamosa, Colorado. Born August 20, l963 in Watauga County, he was a son of Nancy Ragan Price of Zionville and the late Don Fred Price. Nelson was a member of Bibleway Baptist Church. He was an independent long haul truck driver. Nelson was happiest when he was able to be in the outdoors enjoying nature. He was an avid elk and deer hunter and enjoyed hunting turkey and fishing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Mitch Price and wife, Cassie, of Mountain City, TN; sisters, Debra P. Jones and husband, R.K, of Boone and Shelby P. Dorsett and husband, David, of Asheboro; and brothers, Doug Price and wife, Joan and Freddie Price, all of Zionville, Brad Price and wife, Robin, of Boone and Will Price and wife, Sherry, of Zionville. Five nephews, three nieces, four great-nieces, one great-nephew and three step-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services for Nelson Price will be conducted Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2022, at 1 o'clock at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Zionville, officiated by Pastor Michael Greene. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Austin & Barnes to assist the family with expenses.
