Please share a memory of Bea to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bea Davidoski joined her extended family and legions of friends in heaven on September 12, 2022 when she passed peacefully at the age of 97. Bea was born at home in Fords, NJ on November 9, 1924 to William Clear and Bertha Kuzma Clear. She was the last surviving member of her family to have been shaped by the Great Depression and the Second World War. Educated in local public schools, she graduated with Woodbridge High School’s Class of 1942, where she was proud to give the class Farewell Address. She enrolled in the Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and concurrently joined the Army Cadet Nurse Corps. As a Cadet Nurse, she cared for combat wounded ETO veterans in a temporary Army Hospital located in Utica, NY. After graduation with the Muhlenberg Class of 1946 she served at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Elizabeth, NJ. Then, after a few years with Doctors Arthur and Chaiken in private practice, she married the love of her life and fellow Woodbridge grad Larry Davidoski in 1952. Bea and Larry were the proud parents of five boys. In 1957, they established their home in Freehold, NJ where they remained (except for a three year stint in Yakima, WA) until retiring to Boone, NC in 1991. Widowed in 1993, Bea continued to lead a life of service as an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church in Boone. She developed her painting skills at Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff and helped her neighbors as a member of the Worthwhile Women’s Club. Bea was especially close to her many neighbors on Brookshire Road where she hiked countless miles over the years. Bea moved to Virginia Beach in 2015 in order to be near family. She was an active member of the Marian Manor community until moving to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in 2019. “Miss B” continued to befriend residents and staff members alike and enjoyed a wide range of activities while a resident. Bea was predeceased by her husband Larry, by her parents William and Bertha Clear, her siblings; Arthur (Art), William (Bill), Margaret (Mag), Evelyn (Ev) and John (JJ). She also was preceded by her oldest son Neil. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Kathy) Davidoski of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul (Patti) Davidoski of Bonny Doon, CA, Peter (Tina) Davidoski of Charleston, SC, and her daughter-in-law Debby, of Flint, MI as well as l6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by a host of nieces and nephews who always enjoyed the company of their Aunt Bea. Funeral services for Mrs. Davidoski will be conducted Saturday afternoon, October 22, 2022 at 12:30 at Grace Lutheran Church. Graveside services will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family suggests memorials to Samaritan’s Purse or to your favorite charitable organization. But the best way to remember Bea is to do something kind for someone else.
