I don’t even know where to begin. The first day I met you and your Mom, you were walking up that hill, touching the little, orange buds on the flowers so they would magically unfurl; we called them “poppers” from that day forward. You, Hannah, Cannon, and then a little later, Tripp and Lane, were family to each other. Your family and ours, blended, and we all were devoted. Through joy, laughter, sunshine, rain, snow and some despair, we came through the years never losing touch and always wanting the best for each other. The memories I have of you, my kids, Casey, Taylor, Sarah, Samantha, and so many others, well they are absolutely priceless. There are so many events and antics that I can’t pick and choose what to post here. I’ll just list a few key words: yellow-lipped snake, Thanksgiving and the 4-wheeler, the trampoline and the lawn mower, ballon-boobs, the sit and spin, cruising in your Mom’s SUV, running across the meadow, sledding down the hill, hauling Michelle (sweet “Shelly-bean”) up to the tree fort, go-cart racing at Gatlinburg, swimming at the lake…the list goes on and on.
I promise to always cherish our time together in this world and to look for you when the time comes. We’ll miss you Meggie, but we will all keep you close in our hearts.

Megan, I have such happy memories. You and Molly playing a prank on me and sneaking into my room at night and grabbing my foot! You daring me to eat a spoon full of cinnamon. And spending time with you and your mom at your house. I will never forget you and I know that so many others will love you forever. You will be missed from our family but never forgotten. Rest easy beautiful Megan.
