Heartbroken with the loss of my first cousin, Jolyn. Our dads were close brothers, so I saw her and her sister Margaret regularly at our grandparents’ house. The chaos would start within about a minute of us all getting together. We had so much fun laughing and acting out and causing trouble. It got even crazier when we would get into Nina’s 16 oz returnable bottles of Coke. We had bikes to ride at Nina’s house, and would go all over the neighborhood. We also had the best time swimming, water skiing, and jumping off the dock at Smith Mountain Lake during family get togethers. When we were teenagers, Jolyn and I had a common interest in collecting records. I still remember her playing records on our grandmother Nina’s antique Crank up Victrola record player.
