Barbara and family,
I had the pleasure of working as Doug's assistant at First Union Home Equity Bank. He was a wonderful leader and a great sport. I remember a time in the 80's when he was buying his first BMW. He was speaking in front of all of our employees and we had a delivery person present to him a FedEx package while he was talking. He opened it up in front of everyone and it was a welcome letter from BMW with all of the necessary essentials for his new vehicle including fuzzy dice, steering wheel cover, car scent hanger, etc. We all had a great laugh with him. He also was a great motivational speaker at our annual conferences. So sorry for your loss and prayers for you all.
