I am deeply saddened at the loss of such a young and vibrant soul. I worked with Amy in the English department for the last 10 years. My conversations with her were the best part of my mornings. She was endearing, incredibly empathetic, and funny as heck. She will be terribly missed. My love and strength go out to her family. She was an inspiration for us all.

I will always miss Amy she and I tried to support each other with work & dealing with our familys trips to Duke.we both would advicate for Bobby her husband & my son Ryan..We all will miss you Amy. I bet your Happy & free from the fight of life & free to be in Heaven feeding the ducks and growing your flowers but mostly I know you are Bobby & Treys GUARDIAN ANGEL.Until we meet again God Bless to the love of her life Bobby & her Son Trey whom she adored & loved. Amy and I grew up close neighbors, and spent lots of summer days riding our bikes and playing in the river. Snow days found us sledding or just hanging out. I’m sorry our sons didn’t get to do the same. My deepest condolences to her family.

Amy & I were in youth group together and went to elementary & high school together. I’m sorry we lost touch over the years. I have fond memories of visiting her at her home beside the New River. She always had a mischievous twinkle in her beautiful eyes. Prayers for her family. For God’s peace to surround you & comfort you.

Bobby and Trey, I am so saddened that you lost the love of your life and loving mother. Amy was my friend in high school and my college roommate our freshman year. She sure did like to laugh and to make people laugh . I have precious memories of and with Amy. She will be missed.
