UPON reading of the life work of Bill Rucker and noting his devotion to family, community and the greater good, I am reminded of Jesus’ imperative to “Love one another” and note that Bill certainly lived a life of love and compassion and served as an example for all of us.
Knowing Bill’s son Jeff and his wife Sharon, it seems so apparent that the example set by Bill was thankfully reflected in his children and family. I have known Jeff and Sharon for many years and with each passing year have been so very touched by their love and devotion to Bill as they provided tender care to Bill through his final days with us. Jeff, through his service to our community reflects the goodness of his father and Sharon’s devotion to education displays how a family can bring joy and peace and a heavenly presence to our earth.
We are sad with the loss of Bill but encouraged by his example for all of us to reach out and support one another. What a blessing his life has been.
