I am saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We were childhood friends together in 'downtown' Perkinsville and my brothers and I have many good memories from that time. May God be with you during this most difficult time.

Ann, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I remember you and him from school long ago. You had a nice and big family. I am sorry I did not know any of them. He left a good legacy and many friends and family that love him. I remember you from school, being a cheer leader. I remember your Dad for being a preacher and your brothers. I am sorry you are hurting and sorry for your loss. I am thankful you and Bob had a large family. How wonderful! I don't know if you will remember me. I was a graduate of 1962. Dear Ann the Good and all of your lovely family,
The lavender irises at the head of Wake Robin Lane are blooming now. I know that it was you who planted them. In all of my comings and goings I think of you when I see them, and of Bob, and of the grace, beauty and kindness you've brought into the world. You have certainly brought them to me, from the moment I came to live in this sweet neighborhood. I know your world has rocked on its axis with Bob's physical departure from it, that your hearts must be split wide open, and that things will never be the same again. But I'm grateful that we trust in our steadfast belief that his spirit lives still, and will live on, for all eternity. I don't know what Heaven is like. I call it The Great What's Next. But I like to think of it is a dimension that is neither above us, nor beyond us, but beside us, in the here and now. May God hold you close and comfort you.

Bob was always so loving and welcoming to me and my family anytime we saw y'all out anywhere. He truly loved the Lord and hoped everyone he met had a relationship with Jesus as well. I am thankful for his kindness and love. I know he is rejoicing in heaven with his Savior. Much love to you Mimi.

I have so many great memories of you and Bob! From going to New York to see Billy Graham, to Florida for conferences for the pregnancy center. Trips to the lake just to hang out. Dear Ann & families, I am so sorry to hear of Bob’ Passing. I remember Bob as a young boy when his parents owned the little Shell gas station & store that my father always bought Shell gas & told me to always buy Shell—it’s the best—and I still do! He (Daddy, Voyne Edmisten)) was best friends with Boyd & Mary Kendall, & I also loved them as a youngster & adult, & of course going to Perkinsville Baptist Church where your father baptized me! (You led me to the Lord at GA Camp somewhere over in the Silverstone area I think at 12 years of age—thank you), & we also knew one another at church & school! I moved from Boone after marriage around 1969, so I have pretty much been gone from Boone longer than living there; but...when going home to visit family, they always kept me updated about all the folks I knew. In fact, we were in Boone on Saturday, May 28th for my eldest sister Mary’s 88tb birthday & niece Paula Younce Ward’s as well, when our dearest friend Faye Henderson Church told me the sad news. My husband Greg & I, & his family, live in Roanoke, VA, like 3 hours away from Boone, so not too far away. But I well remember Bob’s schools, church & work at Vermont American; know that your old friends near & far, are thinking of you and your families during this sad time, & we pray for God’s wonderful Peace & Comfort for you in the coming days. I will never forget Bob’s heart! When I was in the dental program I needed some money to buy instruments and uniforms and I was short the funds I needed. It was on a Wednesday night after church I was walking down the steps Bob walked up and said I have something for you. He placed in my hands the funds I needed to complete my needs. His heart and eyes see the needs of others! I am forever grateful I had the chance to serve Bob 30+ years in the dental office! He is such a sweetheart and will be missed! Bob, I love you!
