Dear Kim and Carolyn,
I just spoke with Betty Sluder and I am deeply saddened to learn of your mother's passing. She was to love of my cousin Olin's life and and you both are a testament to their love of family. Please know that Maria and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. May the good Lord hold her in the palm of his hands and may she rest in peace. Bob Barnhardt

This breaks my heart to read of Dorthy's passing! She and my mama were just the best of friends for years and years not only while they worked together at ASU but even years later. She was so good to my famly and she was a wonderful woman. I am so sorry for your loss, but oh at heavens gain! I know my Mama greeted her with open arms. Thinking about and praying for you all.

I didn't really know Dorothy but I knew Olen from school. I can remember seeing her and Olen and the family going to his parents house on Poplar Grove Road and they were young and the children young and I thought she was one of the most beautiful ladies I had seen with her black hair, tall and pretty. My condolence to all the family. Prayers. Donna and Glenn Hicks

Carolyn, we are so sorry for your loss. We were thankful to get to meet your mom. She was a sweet person. Earth’s loss is Heaven’s gain. May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you strength and peace as only He can do.

When I worked on campus, Dorothy worked in the same building. She was so nice and friendly. At Christmas she would bring us a pumpkin roll. Oh, were they yummy!
