Mrs. Patsy Dale Vannoy Martin, age 71, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Friday morning, June 20, 2014 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Born October 4, 1942 in Watauga County, she was the daughter of the late Rusher Dale and Betty Hayes Vannoy. Patsy was a retired inspector for the USDA.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Martin, one son, Craig Hollar, Jr., and wife Jennifer of Wilkesboro, one step daughter, Wendy Gambill and husband David of North Wilkesboro, ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rusher Dale and Betty Hayes Vannoy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patsy Martin will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Austin and Barnes Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Donnie Shumate. Entombment will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 o'clock until 2 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
