Mr and Mrs Howser were so good to me as I was growing up . Spent many Saturdays with them helping Mr Howser with cutting the yard I loved to do that it gave me time to drive the two lawn tractors The Murray and Massey Ferguson . Mrs Howser would make one of the best lunches Fresh Ham Black eye peas Cornbread and must not forget fresh mustard greens from the Garden. Sending my Best to the family.

Lee, Maxie, and John,
I am so sorry to read of your mother's passing. All four of our parents were such great, lifelong friends. I have so many memories them and their adventures and experiences- Sunday school and church, circle meetings, cider making, supper club, riding/driving the school bus together, and just generally sharing life's ups and downs and "every days'"!
Blessings to you all as you celebrate and remember June and your entire family.
With fond memories and love,
Beth Dixon Layton

John, Leslie, and all the family of June, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. I remember from Boone United Methodist Church her husband, Joe Howser, and what a sincerely nice couple they were. I got to know June further later on and always enjoyed her joyful spirit and conversations. She was a special lady, and I feel privileged that I got to know her. God be with you as you mourn her passing.

She and Joe were wonderful people. Always greeted us with a friendly, warm smile every time she saw us from the first day we attended church over 30 years ago. She will be truly missed and remembered by us. God bless and comfort you all in your loss.

June was always that friendly face every Sunday morning when I walked into church. She would always ask me about those "babies" of mine. I met June almost twenty years ago because she was Mae and Buck Robbins best friend, and we would all go eat lunch together sometimes. She was such a sweet lady and loved to talk. She will be missed dearly by BUMC and her many friends. However, I know she is having a wonderful homecoming in Heaven with Joe. My prayers for peace for her family and I hope you know how much she was loved at BUMC.

I am so very blessed to have known June. When my family came to Boone UMC 12 years ago I was asked to share in leading the Christian Adventurer's Sunday School class. Every member was 80 or older. June welcomed me with open arms and remained a dear friend. I am praying for comfort and peace for your family. Thank you for sharing her with me.

Maxie,John and family, your mother blessed so many people with her faith and kindness. Praying that you will find comfort in your memories of her and in the knowledge that others are missing her too . There was not a time when I knocked on her door that she always had kind things to say and always invited me in .June definitely was one of a kind and had a kind soul because her generation was brought up that way and like her and many others that was the only way to be. It was a total honor to have known your dad and your mom! May they both be at peace. JReese
