Today is the day that you are celebrating the life of an incredible human being. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, business woman and friend with the ready smile and loving ways that touched so many. She filled all her roles with grace and charm and perseverance. We regret that her time here was way too short. She left so many of us with precious memories for which we will be eternally thankful. We join the family in thanksgiving for a woman who was well loved now leaving a life here on earth that was well lived. Hicks family, thank you for welcoming us into your community so many years ago.

Tammy was such a sweet and loving neighbor. I so enjoyed coming to her house and caroling with friends this past Christmas. She had a tea service of hot cocoa and coffee already for us upon our arrival. Prior to the our caroling time, she had specifically dropped by my house with a set of reindeer bells that she asked that I use as we knocked on doors to carol and enjoyed the season. Tammy said the children on our road would especially find delight in them. Such a loving and caring neighbor. Her kindness and love will certainly be missed.

So very sorry to hear just now of Tammy's passing. Our hearts go out to the entire Hicks family, both as our neighbors in Valle Crucis and now just down the road again here in Sugar Grove. Dealing with Tammy as a co-parent at Valle Crucis School and as a neighbor looking after the administration of their successful family business, was always a pleasure. Her straightforward manner and that radiant smile will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Tammy's passing. She was a beautiful and kind person. We lived across from her in Valle Crucis in the late 80's and I still remember seeing a petite, beautiful woman going out every morning to kiss her husband good-bye for the day. Of all the people I went to high school with Tammy was one of the few that always remained the same from then to present, a true genuine smile,a true kindness and you felt like she was always happy to see an "ole" friend . It was a pleasure to attend Watauga High with her and always a pleasure to see her out in our county and town. My condolences to her family and friends.

Johnny and family, It us so hard to say goodbye to the love of your life and your mother. GOD will give all of you the strength to get through this journey of grief.
