Dear Sarah, Terry and Lavonne and family.
I'm so very sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. He is a very fine and wonderful person. I recall my dad, Berlin, telling me of his work on the extraordinary Viaduct around Grandfather Mountain. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Bobby will really be missed in our family. With loving prayers in these hard days ahead. Janie Winebarger Dougherty

When I think about Bob Greene, it takes me back to younger years when our family would drive from Michigan to Zionville to spend vacations with Granny and Paw Barger in Zionville. It seemed like a ritual to visit Sarah and Bob in Boone and to Spend Sunday after church at Mabel United Methodist Church with family at Granny's. My memories of Bob remind me of what a hands- on hard working man that he was. In addition to his painting, remodeling, and repairing, his work on the bridge that sloped around Grandfather Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway seemed monumental. Bob loved to tease. His giggle was infectious. My heart goes out to Sarah, Terry, and Lavonne, the Grandchildren, family, friends, and to all of those whose lives that Bob has touched.
