My deepest condolences to Bob's family. Dr. Calhoon was truly a scholar and a gentleman. Bob's contributions to the discipline of history are profound, impactful, and long lasting. He mentored and advised me through the Ph.D. process. I benefitted greatly from his guidance, his brillance, and his love of sharing knowledge.
I have posted a photo of Bob with his three advisees: Dr. Cory Stewart, Dr. Joseph Moore, and myself, Dr. Theresa Campbell.
